The sE Electronics sE7 is a small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone built for accurate, detailed pickup across a wide 20Hz-20kHz frequency response, making it a versatile choice for drum overheads, hi-hats, cymbals, acoustic guitar and orchestral instruments.
Its half-inch back-electret capsule handles up to 136dB SPL standard (156dB with the switchable -20dB pad engaged), with a switchable 80Hz low-cut filter to tame stand or room rumble. Requiring standard 48V phantom power, it’s a compact, affordable workhorse mic well suited to touring drum kits and acoustic ensembles alike.
