The Palmer PAN16 is an 8-channel passive DI box housed in a rack-mountable enclosure, giving each channel independent transformer-based signal conversion from unbalanced line/instrument level to balanced microphone level, suitable for feeding a front-of-house or monitor console over long cable runs without noise pickup.
As a passive design, it requires no external power, relying on high-quality transformers per channel for clean, reliable signal conversion. Its 8-channel rack format makes it a practical solution for multi-instrument backline feeds, keyboard rigs or playback sources needing balanced outputs to the console.
